Introduction

“Tang Poetry Ranking” is not a collection of Tang poetry appreciation in the traditional sense, but a list of the top 100 Tang poetry! “All Tang Poems” contains nearly 50,000 poems, and the number of surviving Tang poems is far more than that. So how do these 100 poems stand out from the sea of Tang poems? The author collects data from four aspects: the data of selected Tang poems in previous anthologies, the data of Tang poems commented on in past dynasties, the data of research papers on Tang poems in the 20th century, and the data of selected Tang poems in literary history works. After each set of data is standardized, it is then weighted and summed. X represents the anthology index of the past dynasties, P represents the comment index of the past dynasties, L represents the index of research papers in the 20th century, W represents the index of literary history, and Z represents the comprehensive score of each poem. The composite score is the standard value of each indicator multiplied by its respective weight, and then summed.
