Introduction

“Addition and Delete Bu Yi” was written in the twenty-ninth year of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (AD 1690 ), it is a summary of the hundreds of years of hexagram learning experience of several famous six-line divination masters such as Yehe Old Man and Li Wenhui in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. The original features of “combining numbers with reason and proving reason with numbers” are well-deserved of its status in the history of Liuyao divination as “opening the gaps of later generations with one word, and breaking the doubts of the ages with one word”. In the more than three hundred years since the book was completed, due to repeated reprints, there are some Yu Lu Hai pigs, some out of text and derived characters, and some doubts caused by the change of ages. In view of this, Mr. Li Fanding (Ding Sheng) recommends More than 20 years of hexagram learning skills, based on the ancient Wu Chen Changqing’s “Addition and Delete Bu Yi” in the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty (1662-1722 AD) collected by the Palace Museum in Beijing, based on the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty (1736-1795 AD) ) The engraved edition of Dunhuatang “Re-engraved Addition and Deletion of Bu Yi” is the main school text, and the copy of “Yehe Laoren Shu” by Li Fu in the thirty-seventh year of Qing Emperor Kangxi (AD 1698) collected by the National Library of Taiwan is the side school text.
