Mr. Zhang Dainian, a master of Chinese studies, is the general consultant of this dictionary. The book is 1.73 million words, published by Huaxia Publishing House in 1992. After publication, it quickly sold more than 20,000 copies. In the mid-1990s, it was sold out and has long been out of print.

Brief introduction of the author

Zhang Qicheng, born in She County, Huizhou, Anhui, is a descendant of famous medical scientists Li Jiren and Zhang Shunhua. He himself is also a medical scientist, philosopher, professor, and also a well-known expert on Chinese culture, health preservation expert, calligrapher, and advocate of Chinese culture. He is currently the dean of the School of Management of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
