Introduction

“Gan and Shi Jing Jing” is a monograph on astronomy. “Gan and Shi Xingjing” is the collective name of the two books “Astronomical Astrology” and “Astronomy”. The authors were Gan De from Qi State and Shi Shen from Wei State at that time. Gan De wrote eight volumes of “Astronomy and Astrology”, and Shi Shen wrote eight volumes of “Astronomy”. The two books are collectively called “Gan and Shi Xingjing”. Among the astronomical achievements of the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, the “Gan and Stone Celestial Book” is the greatest. At the same time, this book is the earliest astronomical work in China and in the world.
